Nuri Koray Kurun pursued his studies in Transportation and Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, where he also earned his Oceangoing Deck Officer’s License. Following graduation, he began his career as a marine deck officer, serving on general cargo and dry bulk vessels owned by one of Turkey's most reputable shipping companies, gaining invaluable operational experience in the maritime industry.
After obtaining his law degree from Yalova University, Nuri Koray transitioned into legal practice, working as a lawyer and admiralty manager at a prominent law firm in Istanbul. In this role, he provided legal expertise on marine casualties and handled disputes related to shipping, representing clients in matters involving both commercial vessels and private yachts.
In addition to his legal career, Nuri Koray is a visiting lecturer in Maritime Law at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Maritime Faculty and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Faculty, where he shares his practical knowledge and legal expertise with future professionals in the maritime field.
